Civil
Registration:
The
Honorary Consulate encourages all the Lebanese residing in Canada to register
their Marriage, Birth or Divorce concluded in Canada.
After
the reception of all the required papers for registration, the Embassy
delivers a certificate to Lebanon in the diplomatic pouch and in the
period of 3 to 4 months a new civil registration (Ikhraj Kayd) will be
available at the Honorary Consulate.
Registration
of Marriage: Application - Marriage
Registration
Fill
in a Marriage Application Form and forward it to the Honorary Consulate
with the following:

Original Legalized Marriage Certificate, by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.

Original Husband and Wife Lebanese IDs (Tazkarat al-Hawiya or Ikhraj
Kayd Fardy).
-
Original Wife's extended long form Birth Certificate (If she is not
Lebanese) showing
the
names of her father and mother.
-
CAN. $30.00 cash or money order payable to the Honorary Consulate of Lebanon.

CAN.
$20.00 (courier charges) Cash or money order payable to the Honorary Consulate
of Lebanon.

Registration
of Divorce: Application - Divorce
Application
In
the case of a Divorce a Power of Attorney for a person in Lebanon is
needed to give the divorce it's executive form.
-
Fill out a Divorce Application Form, and forward it to the Honorary Consulate
of
Lebanon with the following:

Original Legalized Divorce documents, by The Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.

Original Legalized Final Decree or Decree absolute.
-
Or original Legalized Divorce Judgment with the original Certificate of
Divorce.
-
Translations to Arabic by a certified translator of the divorce
documents.
-
Original Marriage Certificate.
-
Original Husband and Wife Lebanese IDs (Ikhraj Kayd Fardy stating the
marriage to the divorcee).
-
Original Family Civil Registry Record (Ikhraj Kayd
Aaely).
-
Original Wife's extended long form Birth Certificate (If she is not
Lebanese) showing the names of her father and mother.

Cash or money order payable to the Honorary Consulate

Registration
of Birth: Application - Birth
Registration
Fill
out a Birth Application Form for each child (if possible to write the
child's name also in Arabic), and forward it to the Honorary Consulate
with the following:

Original legalized extended long form Birth Certificate showing the
names of the father and mother and the date of birth (also the time of
birth in hours and minutes is required in case of twin), by the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs.

Original Family Civil Registry Record (Ikhraj Kayd
Aaely).
-
Original Wife's extended long form Birth Certificate (If she is not
Lebanese) showing the names of her father and mother.

CAN

To add child's name to one of his/her parent's valid Lebanese passport
see section: Adding Children to Passport.

An additional CAN $22.50 Cash or
money order payable to the Honorary Consulate
of Lebanon is required for the registration of an adult. (Persons over
17 years of age).

Registration of parent's marriage should precede registration of their
children.

Registration

out a Death Application Form and forward it to the Honorary Consulate

Affairs.
